Crispy Golden Tofu

Crispy Golden Tofu

1 block of tofu

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 egg beaten

1/2 cup flour

Olive oil

  1. Press down on the block of tofu hard with paper towels to drain excess liquid from the block.

  2. Cut into 2cm cubes

  3. Scatter the panko breadcrumbs on a plate, and the flour on another. Roughly beat the egg with a fork in a small bowl

  4. Taking one cube of tofu at a time, coat in flour, then dunk into the beaten egg, followed by the panko breadcumbs to fully coat the tofu

  5. Place tofu on a lined baking tray and drizzle with a little olive oil

  6. Bake for ~15 minutes until tofu is golden and crunchy

Add to stir fry’s with noodles, curries just prior to eating, sushi bowls, or rice paper rolls.
